KeyCorp Bank CEO: Stablecoins have a bright future and plans to provide customers with cryptocurrency trading and storage services
Odaily News Chris Gorman, CEO of KeyCorp Bank, which manages $185 billion in assets, said stablecoins have bright prospects and are a high-quality solution for customers. Gorman talked about the U.S. stablecoin legislation in an interview with CNBCs Squawk on the Street. He pointed out that stablecoins are faster, cheaper, and better, and are a truly high-quality solution for customers. He emphasized the value storage function of stablecoins, saying that KeyCorp Bank customers want to hold stablecoins in their wallets, and the bank will facilitate this. Regarding the discussion of whether stablecoins will cannibalize bank deposits, Gorman believes that this is a threat, but not an immediate threat, and the industry will respond.
